Overall Impression: Save your money, stream it
My son and I went to see this. He’s a huge Demon Slayer fan, and I’ve seen a few episodes, so I had a basic idea of what the plot was. People fight demons, some elite force. That’s all you need to know going into this.
Having little knowledge of the movie, I was able to enjoy the plot.
However.
Jesus fucking hell the flashbacks. It was like every 30 seconds of a fight there was a 5 minute flashback about something. The movie was like 2 hours and 35 minutes if memory serves, and it could have been cut down to an action packed amazing hour if they wouldn’t have had so many flashbacks.
Overall the movie isn’t bad, I did enjoy the fights. I enjoyed the animation, the voice acting. It was a really good movie. I recommend watching it at home on streaming so you can skip all the annoying flashbacks if you’ve already seen the anime.
Worth viewing at least once.
